Rollercoaster

Today was a busy one ... actually everyday seems to get more chaotic and busy around here. Rushing off to Drama Camp then to Syracuse for Sophia's specialist appointment...all of us:D Then back home to feed the baby ... who was very impatient and quite upset over such a long afternoon drive. Then too start the girls self titled scrapbooking club ... which should actually be called " lets make a HUGE mess ". Six Girls ... Jakob and a very grumpy Silas is enough to send one over the edge. So eventually the crowds dispersed and Sophia left for a sleep over ... and things began to wind down. Whew...This fishbowl is just not big enough for so much action.
...What I would not give for a gallon of wine at this point;)

Sophia's appointment went fair I guess ... Big day in September for her Endoscopy/Colonoscopy. Hopefully we will get to the bottom of her tummy troubles and move past it. She was very brave and asked alot of questions ... hopefully that wont wear off over the next six weeks. I am sure there will some anxiety within all of us.
Sophia explained all the details to her girlfriends today as they worked on their books. She remembered everything the doctor told her. Some of her pronunciations were off and cute. Made me giggle a bit...as did her friends when she talked candidly about having a "camera" in her butt.
....Of course as a mom we have to be very strong and not let any nervous feeling show. Like concerns over the anesthesia or the outcome ... But I am confident all will be good and will try to stay brave like Sophie.
I am very proud of you Sophia - you did such a good job today. You Rock:)
I love you :)

wow, we are going through the same here next week...Cate has all three procedures done at once...all the same fears, all the same concerns...fingers crossed for both...I think their belly troubles are because they do not sit still long enough...all will be well for both, they have to be...not sure us moms can take the layers of things that continue to mount...wishes ;O)

Awwww ..keep me posted on how she does.Sophie has had belly problems for over a year ...and all those milk protein allergies when she was an infant.I am tending to lean towards an allergy here because she is so athletic and healthy. But ... we have to get things checked out for sure;)
I know ... the layers are always piling it up in some way or fashion...everything turns into something that has to be conquered in some way. And when our shoulders run out of room to hold it all ... that's when the wings spread out. As mom's we too are angels in disguise:)

Moments Today ..

If you are anything like me .. or have a household like mine you would know that no day begins quietly .. smoothly or without incident.
As a mom of three .. Not to mention being a part time parent to my significant other ... you have to be prepared for some excitment in your day.
We were forced into life this morning at 6:12 am by Fisher. He is not one of the two legged children .. but the wildest of the two four legged ones. He was up .. and something had him perplexed.. He was barking .. howling and bouncing his kennel all over my artroom floor.
" are you kidding me " I was thinking .. hair straight up ..heart pounding and all of a sudden realizing I was desperate need of a drink of water. So down the stairs i went to see what this wild animal could be so upset about. I checked the door first .. no one there. I went in to the room and found him frantly barking at .. himself .. yes , I apparently forgot to replace one of my large mirrors when I was moving things around.
I stood there him looking at me then his reflection and back at me .... Yes Fisher .. This is a very embarressing moment for you . He was now wagging his tail all chipper and happy to see me .. Great , I'm up.
I let him outside and turn around to find the three two legged wonders staring at me ..
" So .. mom , What's for Breakfast ?"
