Those Questions ...

Conversations with Sophia are always engaging and interesting ...
She often stumps me with her quest for knowledge and interest in just about anything.
Tonight while tucking her into bed and getting things set out for the morning She asked me one of those questions ..
"Mom?"
"Yes" I replied
" What IS a tampon" She asked
I looked over at her as she was casually reading her new issue of Tiger Beat Magazine.
{ the very same magazine I read as a tween... only I don't remember reading about tampons } So I explained as simply as I could ...
" oh " she said. " I learned about that on page 48"
She proceeds to flip to that page - titled my most embarrassing moment - and points to the cartoon drawing of a girl who accidentally stepped on a pad in the bathroom at school and did not realize it until she was in class.
Yup - Silence.
So it begins ...
Next question please !

.... I say a prayer almost every day and sometimes hold my breath when I hear " mom, can I ask you something... ? " ...

Moments Today ..

If you are anything like me .. or have a household like mine you would know that no day begins quietly .. smoothly or without incident.
As a mom of three .. Not to mention being a part time parent to my significant other ... you have to be prepared for some excitment in your day.
We were forced into life this morning at 6:12 am by Fisher. He is not one of the two legged children .. but the wildest of the two four legged ones. He was up .. and something had him perplexed.. He was barking .. howling and bouncing his kennel all over my artroom floor.
" are you kidding me " I was thinking .. hair straight up ..heart pounding and all of a sudden realizing I was desperate need of a drink of water. So down the stairs i went to see what this wild animal could be so upset about. I checked the door first .. no one there. I went in to the room and found him frantly barking at .. himself .. yes , I apparently forgot to replace one of my large mirrors when I was moving things around.
I stood there him looking at me then his reflection and back at me .... Yes Fisher .. This is a very embarressing moment for you . He was now wagging his tail all chipper and happy to see me .. Great , I'm up.
I let him outside and turn around to find the three two legged wonders staring at me ..
" So .. mom , What's for Breakfast ?"
